PROJ60 / DAY44 : When I was a Child, Everyone Smiled.
Made it to Athens, to meet up with the motley crew. In the centre of Athen's dusty sprawling frustrating existence, the Acropolis stands, like it always has, since 500 BC. The juxtaposition between history, documented by its ancient archeological monuments, and progress, evidenced by the urban sprawl swallowing up the surrounding areas around Athens, seems contradictory at first sight. I can't decide if there's beauty in such a contradiction, or if it's just plain ugly.
