a velvet revolution

In Prague now (: Off to Vienna tomorrow. Although that's if we manage to get our asses on a train (hopefully please), because dear Czech Railways does not support online reservations unless you're paying a million czech korunas or something for a sleeper. So yeah we're gonna try our luck I guess.
Prague is not like Rome or Florence; there are no museums with awe-inspiring art collections, no must-see ruins perfectly preserved since the beginning of time, no violent history that will shock your sensibilities. But Prague has been charming, with its windy cobbled stoned and hilly streets, its communist past and stories of countless revolutions throughout the centuries, its varied architectural styles ranging from Gothic to Baroque to Rococo to everything else I can't even name-drop haha, its hearty (maybe too hearty) cuisine, its people who are masters at black humour... Prague is a city that's just kinda offbeat, I guess, a city that has a lot of character (:
