Update on the Broken Door Handle

So after deciding that I will repair the door myself, I went to talk to my landlady about it. And no, she says I can't repair it on my own because I will risk spoiling the door, which will be even more expensive. Nice. And she can't give me an approximation of how much the handyman will cost. ROAR this is damn fucked up.
