sum-merry!
- woken up at before daybreak to eat fantastic cheemeichin kayabuns (will bring people there someday when i learn how to parallel park), marine parade curry puff and selegie tauhuay with the boy,
- gone for a dimsum buffet at a restaurant whose main entrance we took so long to find and where we ate more than 60 longs between the few of us,
- drove into sentosa just to sit under the sweltering sun at cafe del mar and sip margaritas to get that summery feelingg,
- watched a considerable amount of oc episodes,
- booked our beachbum holiday to phuket (i wish i could say maldives instead but oh well),
- went out for dinner and coffee with kenny and vince (whom i was told thought i texted them by mistake when i tried to make arrangements, grr),
- had lunch and a walkabout around town with nette and lynn (like FINALLY) and made plans to rollerblade and go back to SN for food with them next week when al comes back from australia,
- went to zouk twice and danced to not-so-fantastic music but met 2372420 people there,
- shophop with clarisse (sawadee kaaa) where she was on a major trying spree,
- took a bus to chinese swimming club, then to katong, then to siglap, then to bayshore and then back home on the day when i didn't get to drive (5 bus trips in a day, all you atas people with cars at your disposal e.g. 8818 and 7098 ought to be ashamed),
- ate good and cheap quiche ($1.80!! for not a slice, but a big round pie!) at serangoon gardens,
- watched chungking express on youtube,
- finding myself a personal trainer who gave me muscle aches of such intensity they had me hobbling up and down stairs for half the week (mind you, my room is on the third floor),
- curled up at coffee bean at the airport with a collection of Roald Dahl's adult short stories for company (he's such a master of black humour, with all his tragi-comic twists)...
all that, and so much more done, and to be done.
thank god, the last month of my 19th year is going pretty fine ( :
on a sidenote, its a mystery to me (enlighten me if you can) how i managed to squeeze so many activities into a week, compared to the rate at which we were reading through those legal theory/crim/contract materials...
