i'm a hazard to vehicles that are parked right outside my gate, i swear. since 2 days ago, i've successfully and most unfortunately hit 2 such vehicles; not by crashing my car into them, but by erm, opening my auto-gate and watching it just, erm, go "smack" and hitting the vehicles.

the first was z's car on that first stormy night when he came to pick me up to go watch a movie. the rain was torrential and so it would have been logical for me to well, open the auto-gate and walk out with an umbrella instead of using the small gate or let him drive up the driveway, no? and so thats what i did. just that the boy decided that he'll park closer to my gate than he usually does and well, smack, the gate hit his car and got stuck while he frantically tried to maneuver his car outta the way. well, it seems like i can't accurate gauge distances huh.

the second happened today when i was driving into the house. i was about to anyway, and so i happily pressed the button on the remote control and damnit, too late, there was a postman on his scooter parked outside my house! like of all times. apparently he was waiting for my brother to acknowledge receipt for some registered mail. i was mighty embarrassed and did try to say sorry, but the postman just rode away...

seriously, for someone with allegedly perfect eyesight, there's no reason for me not to gauge distances acurrately or spot a postman on his scooter!
